Deactivation Policy for Home Cooks

Last Updated: 25 July 2024

1. Introduction

This Deactivation Policy outlines the circumstances under which a home cook's account may be deactivated on the Tohmeal platform. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Please read this policy carefully.

2. Reasons for Deactivation

Home cook accounts may be deactivated for the following reasons:

  • Violation of Terms of Service: Any breach of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to illegal activities, fraud, harassment, spamming, and distribution of harmful content.

  • Poor Performance: Home cooks must maintain a minimum completion rate of 50% and a customer satisfaction rating of at least 3 stars. Falling below these thresholds may result in deactivation pending an investigation.

  • Customer Complaints: Repeated or serious complaints from customers regarding quality, hygiene, delivery issues, or other significant concerns.

  • Inactive Accounts: Accounts that remain inactive for an extended period may be subject to deactivation.

  • Misuse of Platform: Any misuse of the platform, such as attempting to circumvent the payment system, manipulating ratings and reviews, or engaging in activities that undermine the integrity of the platform.

  • Legal Requirements: Compliance with legal requirements, including court orders, subpoenas, or other legal processes.

3. Investigation and Review

  • Notification: Home cooks will be notified of potential deactivation and the reasons for such action. They will have the opportunity to respond and provide additional information during the investigation process.

  • Review Process: Our team will conduct a thorough review of the situation, including examining relevant data, customer feedback, and any additional information provided by the home cook.

  • Decision: Based on the findings, a decision will be made regarding the deactivation of the account. Home cooks will be informed of the outcome and any steps they can take to address the issue.

4. Appeals Process

  • If your account has been deactivated and you believe this action was taken in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting our support team at support@tohmeal.com. Provide detailed information supporting your appeal, and our team will review your case.

5. Reactivation

  • In some cases, deactivated accounts may be reactivated after the home cook has addressed the issues that led to deactivation. This may include:

  • Improving performance metrics, such as completion rates and customer satisfaction ratings.

  • Resolving customer complaints and ensuring such issues do not recur.

  • Complying with any specific requirements set by Tohmeal.

6. Permanent Deactivation

In cases of severe violations, repeated offenses, or legal requirements, accounts may be permanently deactivated. In such instances, reactivation will not be possible, and the decision will be final.
